July 7, 2009 - Tibetan Monastery Kitchen

July 7, 2009

Last January I decided to visit a Tibetan monastery in the heart of the Catskill Mountains in New York, where His Holiness the Dalai Lama had spent some time. Maybe it was boredom or something else, but I woke up one morning and knew I had to go right away. I dragged the whole family in a snowstorm up a big mountain to check it out.

During our tour I had the honor of going into the monastery kitchen, which made me wonder what Buddhist monks eat. I found it very interesting that they had Bragg's Liquid Aminos on every table.  I had been a Bragg's fan for years but never tried the Liquid Aminos, which I now use as a soy sauce substitute.

I have used the Bragg's Organic Apple Cider vinegar, which is is a great source of potassium, helps control weight, soothes dry throats, and can alleviate the pain of sunburns (pour a bottle of it in your bath).

Bragg's Liquid Aminos are non-GMO and a great source of protein.

Peace, Love & Happiness,

Sandy
